Mandelson: 'Brexit negotiation requires compromise'
Lord Mandelson believes a Brexit negotiation deal "requires compromise" and a proposal should be made by the government "somewhere in the middle-range options".
Subjects for the negotiation, that officially starts in Brussels later, include the status of expats, the UK's "divorce bill" and the Irish border.
"All these middle-range options involve compromise," Lord Mandelson tells the Today programme.
