Starmer and PM clash over £21m PPE payment

Labour leader Keir Starmer has criticised the government's handling of PPE contracts during the pandemic.

He raised the case of a Spanish businessman who was paid £21m to act as a 'go-between' for the NHS and PPE suppliers.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that during the early stages of the pandemic, Sir Keir had suggested that PPE should be supplied as quickly as possible.
