Boris Johnson: It's time for politics to be over

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called on the Conservative Party to unite behind his successor Liz Truss, as he prepares to meet the Queen and resign.

Speaking in Downing Street, Mr Johnson said it was a tough time for the country and that the government needed to focus on delivering "for the people of this country".
