Charles' first King's Speech: What happened in 60 seconds

King Charles III has delivered his first King's Speech at the State Opening of Parliament.

It was the first time a King's Speech had been read in 70 years, although the monarch had previously addressed Parliament on behalf of his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, before her death in 2022.

The occasion was also a first for Rishi Sunak as prime minister, and outlined 21 laws that ministers intend to pass in the next year.
