Starmer: Gaza ceasefire 'must happen now'
Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has called for a "ceasefire that lasts" in the Israel-Gaza conflict, during a speech at the Scottish Labour conference in Glasgow.
His remarks come a day after the conference passed a motion calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
Speaking to delegates on Sunday, Sir Keir said everyone wanted an end to the fighting, "not just for now, not just for a pause, but permanently".
