Lib Dem leader quizzes PM on DWP 'hounding' carers
Sir Ed Davey said the government should be supporting carers "not persecuting them".
He raised some of the cases of carers who had been told to pay back some of the overpayments saying they do a “remarkable job" who should not be penalised for breaching the earnings limit.
Rishi Sunak praised carers but added the DWP “rightly” sought to recover overpayments to protect the taxpayer.
