Firms told to cut food waste to save money

Caterers, restaurants and hotels across Scotland have been told they could save millions of pounds a year by sending less waste to landfill sites.

An organisation set up by the Scottish government called Zero Waste claims the industry sends more that 130,000 tonnes of waste to landfill every year and 77% of it could be recycled.

BBC Scotland has been to a restaurant in Glasgow to find out what can be done to reduce waste.
