Skippers fined £720k for £63m 'black fish' scam

Seventeen skippers who admitted their part in the UK's biggest fraud involving illegal catches of fish have been fined £720,000.

The trawlermen from Shetland sold vast quantities of mackerel and herring evading EU quotas.

Three fish processing factories were also involved in the £60m fraud, as Lorna Gordon reports.
