The Dandy comic appears in print for the last time
Britain's longest running comic, The Dandy, appears in print for the final time on Tuesday.
From the next issue it will become a digital-only publication available as a download for computers and an app for smartphones, 75 years after the first issue went to press on 4 December 1937.
Dundee-based publishers DC Thomson hope to entice young readers back to the comic which has seen its circulation drop to under 10,000.
If the move is successful it could be repeated for other titles such as The Beano.
