Scottish independence: Brian Cox answers your questions

In the latest of a series of BBC Scotland independence referendum webcasts, actor Brian Cox answered your questions.

The BBC's Bill Whiteford put a variety of issues to the pro-independence campaigner including whether Scots living abroad should be allowed to have a say and how he thinks the Scottish film industry might be affected by independence.

Mr Cox said: "I do spend a lots of time in Scotland. I grew up here and I was educated here.

"It's my cultural heritage which is important to me, as much as anything else. So on the one hand I feel I have got something to offer about Scotland, but at the same time, as I don't live in the country I accept the fact that I don't have a vote."

The referendum will be held on Thursday, 18 September. Voters will be asked a single yes/no question: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"
