Smith Commission: 16 and 17-year-old voting power transferred

Holyrood will have the power to allow 16 and 17 year olds to vote in time for May's election.

Scottish Secretary Alistair Carmichael has confirmed that a process of fast-track devolution, to transfer control over the voting age from Westminster, will begin this week.
