Top rugby medic urges rule change

The most senior medical figure in rugby has told the BBC that the rules of the sport may have to change, to reduce the number of injuries sustained by players.

Reported concussions in the sport have doubled in recent years.

On average, one player in every Six Nations match is estimated to have suffered a brain injury.

World Rugby's chief medical officer says the tackle would be the most likely focus of any changes which should now be considered.
