Rugby players willing to risk concussion

The number of reported concussions in rugby has doubled in recent years.

A senior medic in the game has told the BBC that the rules of the sport may need to change to reduce the number of players suffering head injuries.

Former Scotland rugby player John Beattie has been investigating head injury in the sport for Panorama.

He met a group of players who admitted that they would want to stay on pitch even if they have concussion.

Watch Panorama: Rugby and the Brain - Tackling the Truth on BBC One on Monday, 21 September, at 20:30.
