£1,500 grants for homes and businesses hit by floods

Scotland's first minister, Nicola Sturgeon, has announced more than £12m in new funding for areas hit by the recent floods.

Councils will get £5m or extra capital, and grants of £1,500 will be made available for each affected household, business or charity.

Ms Sturgeon was speaking to the BBC's Andrew Anderson during a visit to Inverurie in Aberdeenshire.
