Solar wind behind the Aurora Borealis says astronomer

Dramatic photographs have appeared online of the Northern Lights over Scotland and parts of England last night.

The spectacular displays were visible over regions including the Isle of Skye, Moray, Perthshire and Aberdeenshire.

Alessandro Boccolini filmed the Aurora Borealis over Edinburgh, about 22:00 on Sunday.
