Edinburgh Fringe winner reveals secret of funniest joke

A comedian responsible for the winning joke of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival has revealed the secrets to his success.

Masai Graham said the key is to work back from the punch line to ensure maximum comedic potential.

The full-time care worker also said that regular gigs are essential in honing his act: "My dad suggested I register for a donor card, he's a man after my own heart", was the winning one-liner.

The festival's best jokes were selected by a panel of 10 judges before being put to 2,000 people, who voted for their favourite.
