Aldi worker gets engaged while working on the checkout

A supermarket worker was surprised with a wedding proposal during a busy shift on a checkout.

Lynne Fuller was putting through trolley-loads of shopping at Aldi's Inshes store in Inverness when a piper in full Highland dress marched in, followed by her boyfriend Mike Durrant.

Mike, who works as a store assistant in the same shop, popped the question while colleagues and shoppers looked on.

Another store assistant took over at Lynne's till while she got over her surprise. She said: "yes".
