UWIC expert Tom Crick's school computing concerns

An expert in technology from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (UWIC) claims computer science is not a key part of the school curriculum.

Dr Tom Crick, a senior computer scientist at UWIC, who has spent the past six weeks at BBC Wales as part of a British Science Association media fellowship, has been looking at why computing should be at the heart of education.

He visited Caerleon Comprehensive School, near Newport, to speak to pupils.
