Cardiff half marathon: Runners take to city streets

More than 18,000 people are gearing up to take part in Wales' biggest road race.

The Cardiff half marathon will start outside Cardiff Castle at 09:00 on Sunday and participants will run around the south and east of the city on a new course this year.

Thousands of spectators are expected to line the streets of Cardiff to show their support.

Event manager Rachel Madge told Peter Johnson of BBC Radio Wales the number of runners had increased more than tenfold since the first race ten years ago.
