Pontfadog Oak: Woodland Trust calls for action to protect old trees

The Woodland Trust has called for action to protect ancient trees after a 1,200-year-old oak was toppled by strong winds near Wrexham.

The Pontfadog Oak has been growing near Chirk since the year 802.

Shaun Burky, a veteran tree verifier for the Woodland Trust in the north east Wales, spoke to Oliver Hides on BBC Radio Wales.
