Food bank use rise inquiry call by Oxfam and Church Action

Charities are calling for an urgent parliamentary inquiry into the link between changes to the benefits system and the growing number of people going hungry.

The report by Oxfam and Church Action on Poverty estimates that 500,000 people across the UK - including 35,000 in Wales - used food banks last year, more than double the figure from the previous year.
