Rent help claims rise after benefits change, says Plaid Cymru

The number of people applying for emergency help with their rent has increased dramatically since the government introduced changes to housing benefit, according to research carried out by Plaid Cymru.

Figures from 21 of Wales's 22 councils, show 11 of them received more claims for financial help in the first two months after the changes than in the entire previous financial year.
