Ultra runner Rory Coleman inspires for Stoptober

In 1994 father-of-four Rory Coleman drank too much, smoked 40-a-day and could not run more than 100 steps.

Fast forward 20 years the 51-year-old has run 213 ultras, 809 marathons, held nine Guinness world records for running, and is a performance coach.

Coleman has also completed the Marathon des Sables, known as the world's toughest foot race which is held in the Sahara Desert in Morocco, 10 times.

As he crosses the finish line in Cardiff's half marathon on Sunday, he will also be completing his latest challenge of running 28 miles a day for 28 consecutive days to encourage people to give up their bad habits.

Coleman spoke to BBC Radio Wales presenter Peter Johnson about Stoptober.
