Typhoon Haiyan: 'Corridor of destruction' left on Philippines

People were not prepared for the magnitude of a typhoon that has devastated parts of the Philippines.

BBC correspondent Iolo ap Dafydd said a "corridor of destruction" has been caused by typhoon Haiyan and at least 3,974 have been killed.

A further 1,186 are missing, according to the latest official figures.

A plane carrying 95 tonnes of emergency aid has left Britain bound for the typhoon-devastated Philippines.

Iolo ap Dafydd spoke to Felicity Evans from the island of Cebu and told her about the relief effort.
