Anti-bullying charity founder Linda James awarded MBE

The founder of a Welsh anti-bullying charity joined stars of the stage and screen to be named on the New Year's Honours List.

Linda James, who is chief executive of Bullies Out, was awarded an MBE for voluntary services to young people.

The charity provides help, support and information to youngsters, schools, and community groups affected by bullying.

Other Welsh names on the list were opera singer Katherine Jenkins who becomes an OBE, 'Gavin and Stacey' actress Ruth Jones (MBE), and the Welsh Assembly's Presiding Officer Rosemary Butler, who was made a Dame.
