Cardiac care improvements promised by Welsh government

Steps are being taken to improve the care for heart patients, the Welsh government has said.

It comes as surgeons say they are still looking for answers over what is being done about heart patients dying while waiting for operations.

The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) wrote to Health Inspectorate Wales (HIW) last July to warn that patient safety was being put at risk.

HIW says it will respond in due course.
