OECD: All parties must agree schools' plan, says report author

A plan to improve the long-term vision and support of teachers in Wales must be agreed and maintained by all parties, the author of a major report has said.

Beatriz Ponte, senior education policy analyst at Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), said stability and a "long-term path" was required.

Education Minister Huw Lewis has thanked the OECD for "this comprehensive and exacting report" and said the direction of travel for education in Wales was correct.
