Steroid 'abuse' of Wedinos drug testing service denied

The Welsh government has insisted a drug-testing service it funds is not being exploited by steroid dealers.

The Wedinos project is run by Public Health Wales and is designed to tackle the increase in new psychoactive substances, better known as legal highs.

Anyone can send substances to the service for testing, with the information then published on a website.

BBC Wales has found a number of online bodybuilding forums which refer to Wedinos as a place to test steroids.

Dr Mohan Da Silva, clinical lead in Wales for drugs charity Kaleidoscope, was speaking to Oliver Hides on BBC Radio Wales.
