Euro election: Labour narrowly tops poll ahead of UKIP

Labour has topped the poll in the European elections in Wales but only narrowly beat UKIP.

Both parties retain a Welsh seat in the European Parliament along with the Conservatives and Plaid Cymru.

UKIP says it can build on a result that shows it is more than just a protest party.
