We're looking at the effect of devolution over the last 15 years and are asking about media coverage of Wales since 1999.

Is there a democratic deficit?

Alan Edmunds, managing director of Media Wales - which publishes the Western Mail, South Wales Echo and produces Wales Online , external- says it acts like a watchdog when it comes to the National Assembly but its members need to be realistic about coverage in Wales and outside.

He says the institution also needs to embrace the digital age in how it presents itself to the public.
