Delegates have started arriving, the navy has docked, and the Nato summit is almost upon us.

There are warnings of traffic disruption, with roads between the Celtic Manor resort in Newport and Cardiff most likely affected.

But what is the summit all about? Fundamentally, what is Nato about?
