Deaf people 'fed up' with hospitals where they cannot hear

People with hearing loss in Wales are at risk when they use the NHS because they cannot hear announcements, according to charity campaigners.

An audit by community health councils found nearly half of the hospital facilities visited were "unsatisfactory", with technology such as hearing loops not in place or not being used properly.

Megan Rennoldson, a partially deaf person from Monmouth, says she finds hospital visits frustrating as she cannot hear what is being said.
