Steam engine chuffed with 150th birthday at Talyllyn Railway
They began their working lives when Queen Victoria was in her mid 40s and they are still going strong.
The Palmerston steam engine was used to ferry soldiers to training camps in Ceredigion during World War One and now it is back there for the first time in a century.
Rail enthusiasts visited Talyllyn near Tywyn in Gwynedd on Wednesday to celebrate the return of Locomotive Number 1 - 150 years after it first rolled onto the tracks.
