Talia Belaid kidnap: Mother pleas for daughter's return

A mother whose baby daughter was kidnapped by her estranged husband and taken to Libya has made an emotional appeal for her return.

Maher Belaid, 34, was jailed for six-and-a-half years for the kidnap, while his wife Malgorzata was out shopping in Cardiff two years ago.

He refuses to comply with a court order to bring 27-month-old Talia home.

Belaid fled to Libya after his marriage broke down, taking his daughter to the capital Tripoli, where she is being cared for by his mother.

Malgorzata Belaid, 30, from Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, told BBC Wales' Jenny Rees she is desperate for help.
