'I applied for umpteen jobs' - Joanne Jones in Blaenau Gwent
Wales was "one of the biggest victims of the last government's economic illusion," the Welsh secretary has argued.
Stephen Crabb was speaking to business people in Cardiff when he said 2014 had been the best for Wales since devolution.
Employment has been rising in Wales since 2010 and one of those who has gone back to work is Joanne Jones, from Nantyglo, Blaenau Gwent.
She was unemployed for around nine years while she brought up her children but has now found work with a housing association after joining a job club and starting on a placement.
She told BBC Wales economics correspondent Sarah Dickins it had been hard finding a job.
