Premature death rates across Wales a 'challenge'

Premature death rates are a challenge right across Wales, the deputy health minister has said.

Vaughan Gething said there was a "huge" difference in life expectancy rates depending on where people live.

Men in Blaenau Gwent have among the lowest life expectancy in England and Wales with an average of 75.7 years - almost three years lower than the Welsh average.

The new Living Well Living Longer scheme launched on Monday aims to reduce the gap.
