Robbie Savage faced 'nasty' trolling over father's death

Former Premier League footballer Robbie Savage has recounted the "nasty, disgusting" online abuse he faced after his father's death.

Mr Savage - who made 39 appearances for Wales - said he was the target of online abuse soon after his father, Colin, died in 2012.

He said getting stick went with the territory of being a footballer and pundit but on that day it "went too far".

The former midfielder spoke while hosting BBC One Wales' Week In Week Out programme as it looked into the dark side of social media.
