Hay-on-Wye: 'Town of books' library battling closure
The library in Hay-on-Wye, the Welsh town famous for its bookshops, is facing closure.
Powys council launched a review of its libraries to try to make savings of £250,000 by April 2019.
Residents have now formed a community group to save the facility.
They will need to raise £18,000 a year to meet half the running costs, with the council meeting the other half.
Fiona Howard, the mayor of Hay, told the BBC's Huw Thomas that the library was a "community place for the town".
