Southmead major trauma centre in Bristol - how it works

Wales is to get its first major trauma centre, which will have a specialist medical team on call 24 hours a day for the most serious emergencies.

For the last five years, Bristol has been operating one of 27 such centres in England.

Lead nurse Juliette Hughes explains to BBC Wales health correspondent Owain Clarke how the Southmead major trauma centre in Bristol is always prepared for the worst but is set up to achieve the best results.
