Hulcote 'in shock' after villagers' helicopter deaths in Snowdonia

The Bedfordshire village that was home to a couple killed in a helicopter crash in Snowdonia has been left stunned by the deaths, according to a local councillor.

Kevin and Ruth Burke from Hulcote, near Milton Keynes, have been named locally as two of the five members of the same family who died in the accident on Wednesday.

Efforts to recover their bodies and the aircraft wreckage from the Rhinog Mountains were hampered by both the weather and the remote location.

Richard Mann, who is a councillor in the Burkes' home village, described the sombre mood in the community.
