Hunting protester arrested at Theresa May manifesto launch

An anti-fox hunting protester has been arrested as Theresa May arrived to launch the Conservative manifesto in Wrexham.

The 25-year-old man, named Conor, was arrested for breach of the peace after blowing a bugle and unveiling a flag as the prime minister's entourage pulled up.

He resisted as police tried to move him away but has since been released without charge.

Supt Nick Evans said: "We have a responsibility to allow peaceful protest and to maintain public order to ensure public safety and uphold the law."
