Police visibility 'to increase' following Manchester attack

Police have said their plans for policing the Champions League final, which will see 170,000 football fans descend on Cardiff, have not changed in the aftermath of the Manchester terror attack - but visibility will increase.

The blast at Manchester Arena happened at 22:33 BST on Monday following a pop concert by the US singer Ariana Grande.

22 people were killed and 59 injured, including children.

Assistant chief constable Richard Lewis said South Wales Police had been planning for the event since it was announced.

But he added police visibility would increase in certain areas, such as crowded places and iconic locations.

He urged people to be "extra vigilant" and report any suspicious incidents.
