Elf the cat has swimming therapy in Carmarthen after surgery

Meet Elf – the cat undergoing hydrotherapy treatment at a centre for dogs.

Elf is being treated at West Wales Canine Hydrotherapy in Peniel, near Carmarthen.

He is the centre's first cat customer after the top of his thigh bone was removed during surgery due to a debilitating condition in his hip joint.

He was on bed rest for eight weeks but is now going swimming to build up his muscle strength until he is feline fine once more.
