Llangollen Heritage Railway: Carriages and engines among items being auctioned

Railway engines, carriages and railway cranes were among items being auctioned this week.

The items were being sold by Lambert Smith Hampton after Llangollen Railway PLC ran up debts of about £350,000.

It is though hoped the railway will continue to run.

Prospective carriage buyer, Iain Tyrrell, said: "I think it's tragic what is happening here and it makes me very sad."
