River Wye pollution tested by Cardiff Uni scientists and volunteers

Volunteers and Cardiff University have joined forces to test the River Wye for pollution.

Friends of the Upper Wye have more than 100 members testing the water.

One described the state of the river an “ecological catastrophe on my doorstep.”

Friends of the Upper Wye’s Nicola Cutcher said: “What our project proves, if anything, is loads of people care about this.”
