Doctor Who: Wales locations featured in the BBC series

Many destinations from across the far reaches of time and space in Doctor Who may look oddly familiar.

The show has been a phenomenon since it regenerated with BBC Wales in 2005, with filming often take place around its new home nation.

Standing in for Mars, the planet Alfava Metraxis in the Dundra system or even Norway, as the show turns 60 we take a look at some of the most notable filming locations.
