British Summer Time: Why do the clocks spring forward?
The clocks go forward on Sunday, meaning the evenings will be getting much lighter - even if it does mean losing an hour in bed.
But this hasn't always been the case.
Although the idea of daylight savings was discussed in the 18th and 19th Centuries, it wasn't until William Willett noticed closed curtains on an early morning horse ride in 1905 that the campaign really started.
The change was finally introduced during World War One due to coal shortages.
BBC Wales meteorologist Sabrina Lee explains the history behind the change - including its link to Coldplay's Chris Martin.
