Labour MP Chris Bryant rejects Plaid Cymru supporters
A Welsh Labour MP has claimed Plaid Cymru supporters are joining his local party in order to take part in the leadership election.
Chris Bryant, who represents Rhondda, has been involved in a row on social media with one new member about their true political affiliation.
It is the latest in a series of allegations that supporters of other parties have been joining Labour in order to vote for left-winger Jeremy Corbyn as leader.
Mr Bryant, who backs Yvette Cooper for the leadership, told the BBC's Newsnight programme that only genuine Labour supporters would be allowed to take part in the vote.
