Cardiff Airport 'numbers up' under public ownership

Cardiff Airport is doing well under public ownership and will not be sold off, the first minister has said.

It follows a call from its outgoing chairman Lord Rowe-Beddoe that it should be privatised within the next five years.

Carwyn Jones told AMs on Tuesday that "in time" stakes in the airport would be offered for sale.

But he insisted the Welsh government would keep its majority stake, as the airport's performance was improving.
