Tata Steel job cuts impact widely felt, Edwina Hart says

Economy Minister Edwina Hart is to lead a task force to soften the blow of hundreds of steel job cuts across south Wales.

Port Talbot will bear the brunt with 750 of the 1,050 job losses announced by Tata Steel, with the Llanwern plant in Newport and the Trostre site in Llanelli also affected.

Ms Hart said the blow would also be felt by smaller traders supplying the steelworks and its employees.
